Your wedding is your day and should come out to be the best day of your life.
Did you know there are laws that help in directing how the wedding is supposed to be conducted or done?
What you do not know are some of the strange wedding laws that at times come with certain cultures, you just have to deal with them whether you like it or not.
They go beyond the usual “do not eat when you are standing” and “no sitting in the road” theories. If you think those were rather weird, these ones will definitely cause a reaction from your eyebrow or two.
Here are some strange wedding laws that have left me shell shocked, amused and puzzled.
Wedding laws that makes you shocked
Did you know in some parts of the world you can marry your brother or sister, it’s perfectly normal or any other person that you are related to.
Looking at it on a slightly positive note you get to keep the relations strong and the family close, small and no chance of having to adopt confusing cultures into your family right? You should be raising both eyebrows at this one. I still find this law strange, marrying my brother, NO I cannot imagine it!
For those sweet talking men be careful with what you say. Do not make the mistake of proposing when you do not mean it. You could go to prison.
With this law watch what you say. You are supposed to go through a wedding, you cannot change your mind or run away like what men seem to be doing a lot lately, you would have committed a crime! Good news for the ladies he cannot just change his mind after getting your hopes high.
A law that I think is strange just by its mere existence is that you are forbidden to marry the same man more than three times. Honestly who would want to marry the same person over and over again? But then again some laws are made based on what has taken place before; after all we are all not the same.
You do not need to spend so much money and time planning your dream wedding especially with limiting funds. Introducing your husband or wife three times in short means you are already husband and wife. Who says you have to have this big wedding.
But then again every woman has wedding once a lifetime, a dream that has been there ever since one was young. I wonder if people actually exercise this law willingly. With all these strange laws in this world of ours, I wonder what the perfect wedding really is.
